About Ilisara
A detailed high fantasy setting and set of TTRPG rules to support freeform roleplay games
Ilisara was created by two passionate people who wanted to design a TTRPG system that could be played over Discord, including:

No grids or miniatures required

Easy rules (make a character in 5 minutes)

Ilisara's structured character-creation and combat system allows characters to be thematic and cool while fighting. It is a fun, easy means to resolve fights for any roleplay system. It doesn't have deep or complex social mechanics so that people can focus on roleplaying however they want. Ilisara is free to play in a beta state, with all rules available online.
How to Play
Ilisara requires one person to tell a story and one person to play through the story, although larger groups are possible too. The following steps are for players preparing to embark on a journey in Ilisara:

The primary author and artist of the Ilisara project is Victoria McKinnon. I am forever grateful to J.C. Love, Chris Brooks, and Steve McKinnon for helping bring Ilisara to life. J.C., I'll never tire of our chats about character design. And plot! Chris, thank you for writing tidbits of lore when I got stuck. Your insights always spark my creativity.
