Ancient Earth Deity; Patron of Dwarves; the Forge God
Status: Missing
To be able to create strong shining metal from rough ore is nearly a magical process, overseen by none other than Duros. Weapons blessed by Duros are said to strike true and be incredibly resilient. Mortals invoke his blessings on their ploughshares, hoes, rakes, pots, pans, cauldrons, and other items used to increase their quality of life. The day-to-day life of peasants and hardworking folk is recognized and championed by Duros, and they attribute their prosperity and resilience to him.
Duros once sat alongside Varos at the head of the pantheon. He was fair, just, and level-headed, and often spoke up for minorities. Because Duros was good-aligned and a very active member of the pantheon, he is frequently worshipped alongside other deities by humans in the Crescents. Snowfell Dwarves keep great wrought-iron statues of Duros and other iconography of him in their cities, forges, and homes. Architects tend to look to Duros for inspiration on how to make their buildings sturdy. His inner strength and fortitude are drawn upon in their support beams, and his blessing is sought for their materials.
After Armageddon, Duros vanished. His worship is primarily confined to the Twin Crescents.
