Geckoling are small, diminutive reptilian humanoids four feet tall or less. They live in various climates, including deserts, dark forests, or underground in tribal societies. Their lairs are overcrowded and chaotic. Geckoling are fiercely loyal to family and clan. As a lesser evolutionary result of Lizardfolk, they have been likened to kobolds, goblins, and other other beings of similar stature and low intelligence.
Geckofolk Variants
There are three primary locations for three subtypes of Geckoling in the Crescents, all located in Isandor:
Riversnout Warren: inhabited by aquatic Geckoling who build wooden dams and connect them together, the Riversnout are excellent swimmers and marshland tenants. They decorate their homes with shiny rocks and trinkets
Sandclaw Warren: inhabited by desert-dwelling Geckoling who live in burrows, the Sandclaws collect shiny items from the nearby Ruins of Anatheum and sacrifice them to a sleeping dragon "god"
Rockscale Warren: inhabited by mountain-dwelling Geckoling whose scales are hard as rocks, the Rockscale live in caves and tunnel for precious metals
All Geckoling have significantly low intellect. Geckoling love shiny things, especially metal. They have not evolved much past cavemen technologically.
