The tiny fieldmouse and the ancient oak tree both have their place in the cycle of life. Remedia values all life -- no matter how small or insignificant -- while recognizing that death is its inevitable end. Her directive is to ensure that Ilisara's inhabitants thrive and grow. She watches over ecosystems and delights in creating new ones.
Remedia is personified as an old woman adorned with flowers. Critters of the forest flock to her. She is kind, motherly, and fair, but spends a good amount of time in solemn contemplation of the world's growing pains. The destruction of nature is her greatest source of sorrow. Those who desecrate her work, pollute her soil, and kill species to extinction often invoke the wrath of Remedia's followers. Remedia is fond of all life forms and does not discriminate against vile people, poisonous plants, invasive species, or anything else.
Remedia disappeared during Armageddon and nearly perished, then swiftly took up the new mantle of death and life deity. With support from Seluna, she now controls the Afterlife for Ilisara's souls -- the place where soul energy returns when death claims life, and where soul energy departs when life begins anew. Remedia's attention is split between the living realm and the dead. To aid in spreading her teachings and prevent another near-death, she has created the Roen and returned to cultivating the World Tree Aslaug.
Remedia is a central figure in The Weald, an organized religion practiced in Oros and Aldemere.
